    can finasteride be taken eod instead of ed while off?

    I would think that ED treatment would be best, it has a short half life..

    I can only find proscar around me now and its impossible to break a 5mg tablet into 5 pieces so i really dont know what to do with it, 5mg daily is overkill!!

    most ppl just split the proscar into 4 pieces...1.25mg each which isnt overkill

    Actually, if you check Proscars website, 5mg is the standard dose.

    It depends on what it is being used for. 5mg ED would be only for prostate problems and 1mg ED would be to control balding.
