I have a calf routine somewhere floating around.. I've put inches on my calves in the last few years, I used to play the genetics card also but then learned how to train them for growth.. and lemme tell you it's not fun.

I can second that, I followed I**'s calf routine for the 5-6 wks and I have never had pumps like I do now, but the workout is definetly NOT fun..

Genetics are awesome if they are on your side. when i played baseball I tested out my vertical leap at 40 inches. I did some plyo's but nothing that was hardcore or anything like that. I have been able to jump like that ever since I could remember. My brother is the same way he can jump out of the building and can dunk pretty easy. But he is a horrible basketball player kinda a shame.

No way, they were 19+ a few months ago when I was on cycle and barley fit in my pants. My legs are a curse.

Any chance you could post that routine please.

That means I'd have to either 1) Retype it, or 2) look for it and I don't feel like doing either LOL

Just run a search in the lifting forum. lemme know if you happen to find it, or PM GetPaid, he probably has it written down or on his cpu.

I have pretty long leg bones (I'm 6'2") so it looks like my calves are real skinny, but they are in fact 19" in circumference. Has any one else checked if it's just that they look skinny?

I am training to get them to 23" and it's working, when i do calves it's low sets Very heavy weight, and i flex hard for about 4 seconds when they contract fully.

Arnie had this problem too. In his early days he had skinny lookingcalves. They were a decent size, but not nearly enough compared to the rest of him.
