    Deer or Beef ??

I have about 40lbs of ground deer meat. Not to mention lots of Backstrap in the freezer.

Does any know the benefits of eating Deer over Beef ?

What is the protein % per lb?

    Any info will help

Deer is definately leaner than beef. They have to run to stay alive. More cardio=Less Fat.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE deer meat, especially when I'm cutting. I marinate the backstrap in A1 and some spices and then grill.

Sorry to hi-jack, but anyone know where you can buy deer meat, I am assuming that most of you hunt/know hunters.

Aside from killing it, having some one else kill it, or maybe a butcher, I know you can order it frozen onlien through Cabela's. and if you look at it you will see that they also have other meats that are much leaner then beef and with out the hormones ie. elk, buffalo, boar....... Check it out
