    Talking quad cramps

    I was warming up for squats today super light and as I was descending on my first rep both of my quads cramped and like siezed up real bad i could barely re-rack and walk away. they still feel cramped and sore. It came from nowhere. any ideas as to what caused this?

    now today while I was doing front squats I got a shocking pain from my knee caps up through my quad. any idea what this is or how to prevent it?

    lots of things imo....i was cramping the other day....im taking creatine and have been told that will cause some cramping....but i increased my water intake to 1.5 to 2 gallons a day and cramps are gone

    yeah I started to drink more water and the cramps are gone...but the shocking feeling in my quads is new.

    Exactly! Also, eat a lot of bananas or anything with high amounts of potassium.
