    weird bump thingy...

ever now and then, I will get this ball bump thing under my arms. it seems like it grows from the inside, as usually there is no visual you can tell its there. They are sensitive to touch and when I examine it, I can feel the ball like thing on the inside. They will come and stay a couple weeks, then just dissappear. Does anyone have any clue what this might be or is?

If you're speaking of the armpits, it is very possible that what's happenning is a lymphatic reaction resulting in swelling of the lymph nodes in that particular region.

    Agreed! Or a cyst.

Warm baths help. Also, soak it with a folded shaving towel 2-3 times @ day. Place a heating pad within the folded towel for thermogenic treatment. This process with soften the 'ball' and hopefully allow it to drain on it's own. LIGHTLY braise the area with the terry cloth towel after soaking sessions to excreet the oily 'junk' thru your pours or an outlet may create itself (not unlike a pimple). You may smell a fish like odor. Do not use deodorant for awhile. It can infect the area like an open wound.

Go see a doctor if it gets any bigger. They can get big quick esp. if you are training. You own it and have had this since the womb. The only way to remedy it is an operation if it continues...Just like me.

    also

see or call your doctor about Keflex for a 7 to 10 day stint if what I described above is if fact happening to you.

Lastly, do not shave that area if you already do. Trim it in the future to avoid more situations like in-grown hairs, for example. There is alot packed in that area. And you do not want to go under the knife if at all possible. It takes a L o n g time to heal that area of the body.

    I hope this helps...

If they don't subside within several weeks or so or continue to reoccur, get to the doc and have it checked out. It could be a sign of an underlying problem, but under normal circumstances, it is your body's reaction to something such as a bacterial or viral infection.

Do a google search on swollen lymph nodes for more info.

Like I said, if it persists, get it checked out.

    Good luck,

Take some table salt and mix it in a bowl of warm water. Soak a towel in it and stick it under your armpit. Roll a couple of joints and watch a few movies. Ull notice the salt is going to 'Suck out' the puss if it really is a boil. I just had the same problem, i also went to the doc and he gave me some meds.
