Its a long story, basically been working at PetSmart for 4 years while Im over at college.
Me and my boss have always hated each other with a passion.
Anytime we have to communicate about anything its me telling him how to do his job right because hes a fvcking idiot.

So the asshole once again cuts my hours and decides to not tell me why (hes notorious for just doing shit without talking about it or trying to settle issues verbally, the kinda guy who just has a HUGE fear of confrontation)

So I say fvck it. Knock on his door, he opens the door and I invite myself in his office and sit down. An altercation erupted within minutes. I'm remaining calm, telling him I can blackmale his ass for making employees euthanize animals (only vets are suppose to do it, its a BIG deal when regular employees do it)

I proceeded with a mental list I've been storing of about 100 things Ive seen him do since he started (2years after me) that could get his ass fired.

He starts cursing at me, I tell him hes a fvckn low life scum, that the jokes on him because in another 20 years he'll still be working in this shithole, scooping dog shit off the floor, slaving his ass off till he gets moved into a senior citizen home where he'll die a bitter, old and hated man (theres A LOT of dirt on this guy)

So he basically tells me to get the **** out and not come back till I get a phone call. Im like "what are you suspending me?"
Hes like "till further notice"
I'm thinking WOW, he really *IS afraid to fire me (because he had more than ample reason to at this point)
So I say "**ck it, dont even call"

I slammed the door, found a mananger (guy above is the store director) signed my resignation papers, and left.
My question is, can my boss, who is really now just some lame deushbag, fire me and have that as the reason why I left? Or since I put in the papers shouldnt it say on my resume that I quit?
I'm gonna send a letter to his superior about some of the twisted shit Ive seen him allow at PetSmart, but in the meantime if anyone has any clue how this will affect my resume Im curious.

Most importantly. This just speaks for every petsmart Ive been to in my local area. DO NOT SHOP AT PETSMART. Some of thier policies are seriously corrupt. They claim all thier shit is "vet assured" yet 50% of thier live animal stock dies from diseases and infections.
Thier fish arent cared for the way they should be, they use weak (and cheap) medication that doesnt do shit. They only give you a 14 day guarantee on live stock because they know a good deal of thier animals will die. (which they do)
Their actual store charges 200% the cost they advertise on thier website. Than when you come to the store to get the product they tell you - you have to get it off the website. (which is false, they by law have to honor manufacturers prices, a lot of the managers know people dont know this and take advantage of it or just dont know themselves)
Lets see, they *DONT do background checks on employees. My job has 3 felons (minus one now.. me lol) But another felon assaulted a female at our job and they didnt do shit about it.
The grooming departments in *most stores dont even brush your dogs teeth EVEN IF YOU PAY FOR IT. Ive talked to numerous employees at more than just my store wondering how the hell they do it because I could never brush my dogs teeth, they say the second the dog resists and gets difficult they just give them a breath mint and the owners assume they did it.
The store is fvcked up overall. I've worked in 3 different places all together and thier policies are corrupt. that doesnt even get into the more personal mishaps my boss has caused and covered up.

all and all, DONT shop at petsmart. Get your animals from a private breeder who has all the paper work on them and there to offer you. they are a rip off an you can get 90% of the shit they sell elsewhere. when it comes to fishtank chemistry advice, id say 1 out of every 10 employees knows thier shit, the other 9 just point at random products on the shelf which a lot of times can compound the problem.


also, if anyone has any water chemistry issues, shoot me a pm. im not being cocky but people are known to drive an hour out of the way for advice from me. and i guarantee i can *always can get rid of your cloudy water by asking you only a few simple questions. ok im done with my rant now.

Yes, they could tear up your resignation papers and list the reason for separation as you being fired, however this wouldn't make much since. It is much better for PetSmart for you to have quit, you can't go after them for being fired for some BS reason, so I don't think they would waste their time.

If you plan on listing PetSmart as one of your prior employers, get the phone number of a Manager there that you like, for your reference.

Bro I dont know were you live but it is in the companies best interest to accept your res. they do not have to pay unemployment if you were not fired or laid off. They will probably give a good refference so you get employed.( that would meen not fighting unemployment benifits)

hah!! thats what all the newbees say! even the smart ones take at least 6 months minimum before they realize theyd rather be working in a concentration camp.
i got along with all my associates. prob one of the most look up dudes in the place. but fact is when i first started there 4 years ago there was an excellent store director, we went through 2 more and untill we got this last guy i really had no problems with the place at all. there was so many chicks it was like getting paid to work at a clam fest.
if i had before and after pics of the place alone you'd prob crap your pants.
not *1* thing has been fixed in the 2 years hes been there except for the office computer.
our break room has holes EVERYWHERE. no doorknob on the females bathroom. missing random pieces of ceiling everywhere. 2 aisles have been smashed by a drunken nightshift forklift operater... never fixed. however they finally got rid of that guy after about a year.
what else?
oh yeh our goldfish tank prefilters have to be changed like every 3 hours because the slightest amount of pressure on the filters causes the tanks to overflow which happens randomly at least every week.
our manager has consistently forgotten to order medium bags and a permit book for the last month.
so you know what we do with our permits now? we have to run to the office for every customer, copy it 3 times, than change the #'s on the permit.
we've already been fined twice for doing it.
i may have to just take some pics of the store and send them to you so maybe your boss can contact the big boys in arizona.
i could seriously write about 10 pages of serious problems with the store and the idiot running it.

you think its alright that they advertise a filter for 38.99 online than the people come into the store to buy it and the price reads 69.99? do you know how mad that makes customers? you have any idea how many arguements ive gotten into over some stupid shit like that?
than i tell them you have to drive back home and print out the manufactures upc so we can honor the price and the managers tell me to make them pay the full value and to stop telling them that, so than i argue with the managers because store policy is to honor the manufacturer prices.

A lot of the books are actually old school books I never sold back to school so its not really profit. I'm selling *great supplements I bought a while ago Im never gonna use on another site. Just actually sold a bottle of m1t for 80 bucks. (no sources for anyone sorry, I have special ways I do things)

Than I have some software on ebay which isnt really selling. To add to that my brother is building me a website as we speak because Im trying to get a personal fishtank cleaning business going. Its a rare job, and I always knew people who were looking for a regular guy to come to thier house and get thier fishtank running right. One guy I know charges $90 an hour.

Than tommorow Im going to meet with an advisor at school about employment services on or off campus that might get me ready for the field i plan on going into (psychology)

Dude you should check out ioffer. com, you might be able sell some of your stuff on that site. I do quite a bit of business through that site and it's free to list stuff, you only pay when you sell.

I had a similar situation as you did this last sunday (1/14). My bitch assistant manager verbally assaults me infront of customers to the point where I feel extremely violent and have to go outsite.
She does it in a very demeaning and condesending way, just getting really personal like there is a subliminal "fvck you - you are my little bitch" every time she talks to me.

So I called up my Manager told him that she has verbally harassed me and I will be forced to seek legal actions to protect my rights. He immediatly said take the week off and he'll take care of everything. I'm guessing she wont be there this next week

It would have been better if you had recorded the conversation, but before you do, check the laws in your state, here in Georgia it is lawful to record a conversation, as long as one of the parties in the conversation, knows it is being recorded.
