About six weeks ago I hit a truck head on while I was driving my street bike. I started a thread about that a while back.

Anyhow, now I am feeling fantastic, I mean I can do a lot of stuff, to include working out. I am still taking it easy on the weightlifting, but my question is...why?

Ok, the Thai physiotherapist said it would be two years before I got my strength back to the level it was. Then, a week later he saw my progress and said that maybe I'd have it back in like one year since I'm an athlete and all.

Yesterday I worked out upper body for the first time since the accident and I felt awesome. All I've got is a small amount of tension in my delt and I do mean small. I've got complete range of motion and I feel like my strength has not been depleted by a whole lot.

Maybe tomorrow I will go see the doc and see what he has to say, but you know...not to sound racist or anything, but I don't really put much faith into what most of these Thai's tell me. A lot of the time they don't have a clue, to include doctors and everyone else.

I'm not in any big hurry to start throwing up huge numbers or anything and I don't want to injure myself, but I don't see why I need to train super light for the next few months. I figure the bones have got to be fused to the metal plates by now, so that's not the reason for going super light. My muscles feel strong and I guess I am just wondering what the reasoning is for being told to train like a pussy for the next 6 months or whatever.
