    Pull Ups

i really really struggle on pull ups, i can only manage around 4-5 reps after 5 years of training, never really feel any back muscles working, only the biceps feel as though they have had a workout.

How can i get my back more involved and get more reps.

I dont even bother with pull ups. There are many other back excercises you can do that are way more effective

Widen your grip and only do palms over for awhile. Either use a gravitron machine to assist you so where you can get more reps and more squeeze at the top of the movement, or have a spotter hold your feet and when you need help push off his hands.

Disagree, anybody who says that lateral pulldowns are better than wide grip pull-ups is either ignorant or too lazy to do them. Not trying to flame here, but wide grip pull ups will give you so much better development

when i started doing them I could barely pull off doing 5, when I train my back or any body part I start with the movement I am weakest at. If your doing bi's on the same day their gonna fail b4 your back making the movement almost impossible. what I did was keep doing them how ever many it could do at a time until I reached 50. after a couple of week I was more and more b4 failure, if your eating and doing everything else you should be you will grow adding more weight, eventually you will have to add weight. good luck and GROW!
