Meant.. beef JERKY, sorry, typed too fast
I love eating beef jerky as a snack!
Superlift-- can you suggest a good brand? so many out there, trying to find the healthier ones..Thanks!
Iron Bull is supposed to be a good one. Beware as many contain MSG, not good if you want to stay lean.
also dried / cured meats tend to have a high content of sodium.
i might start making my own beef jerky soon. i think all you need is a dehydrator, and it only takes around 14 hours to make!....i think

Stone.. what are the steps? what do you need to get?
most commercial beef jerky that i have seen contain soluble nitrites or nitrates which aren't good for your long term health
I follow similar steps to this: http://www.fabulousfoods.com/recipes/misc/jerky.htmlOriginally Posted by adioz

I also use bbq skewer's and let the meat hang like in the bottom pic on the site I posted.

Give yourself some time. It takes a while! I also marinate over night for more flavor.Originally Posted by JC.1987
