The way you are explaining it, taking some extra time off would be beneficial. If its muscle soreness then take some time off, if it keep hurting for a prolonged period of time then you may have damaged or hurt something, you may need to see a Dr.

I never workout when I'm sore. Let it recover. Don't workout the muscle group that is sore. I never do, I jsut can't do a nice intense workout when I am sore, it's impossible for me. Who likes lifting with that kinds of pain ? Not me...
Like said before it will be much more beneficial if You rest.
    Take care !

Yeah, sore means to me; leave it alone, feed it and it is incubating!

Muscular pain or soreness, is a good sign. Let it heal and recuperate, itll come back stronger.

    Good luck

good thread bpm ... I was gonna ask the same ... I worked legs sunday and today is wednesday and still having a hard time walking from the quad pain ... my leg actually gave out a couple times today .... like muscle failure .... lol ... I've been doing cardio since sunday in the morning and lifting later in the day ... think I'll prolly rest until monday now.

If I'm overly sore and feel kinda drained I take another day off, if it's just slight muscle soreness then I proceed with the next workout.

Gotta go by feel and what you're body is telling you not what your workout schedule is already written for.

a week off, that's too long in my opinion. give it at least 2 days, sometime signs of soreness means u body is adjusting to the workout activities.
