    Niacin and Hair Loss

Just curious if any of you guys use or used niacin and seen any indication of hair loss or complications with it while using duta or fina. Before i jump into using it, i wanted to hear what you guys experienced. I didnt know if the flushing effect would impair or advance the growth of hair on the scalp, because from my previous studies back in school (back in the day), hair growth is stimulated through blood and nutrients getting into follicles. Correct me if im wrong.
    Thanks in advance.

Niacin can do nothing to your hair but help its growth. Check this out: http://www.holisticonline.com/Remedi...-nutrition.htm
"Hair loss occurs when the diet is inadequate in the B vitamins - especially B6, biotin, inositol and folic acid; and the minerals magnesium, sulfur and zinc. The B vitamins, especially B5 (pantothenic acid and B3 (niacin), are especially important for hair growth."

Personally, i noticed some decrease in the sense of "well-being" from time to time since i started it(and i am just on 500mg ED), although i am not sure if it is the reason, so beware of that. I am quite interested if anybody else has experienced that at any dose of this stuff.

Are you taking this to lower triglycerides? If so, has your blood work shown any improvement? I took Niaspan & had flush problems 4ever. My doc says the "flush free" won't do anything except help my hair grow (Grrrr) which at this time I don't need.
