    Painful pumps

    Hey fella's I dont know if this is in the right form but I have a question
    Do any of you get really painful pumps? I have been getting them really bad I even get them when I do cardio in my calves it hurts so bad i have to stop.
    any idea what this could be from?

    Sounds like cramps and yes I get them doing cardio especially after leg day. I don't know any good way to get rid of them, but usally drinking a lot of water helps a bit.

    thanks yea I guess i'll try and up my water intake and see how that goes...because working out sucks right now when I cant even bend my arms lol

    it's not cramps. you're calves are working too hard. I've had the same problem for years. It could be one of several things. You have a low VO2 max meaning your body isn't getting enough oxygen for that body part. You have a biomechanical issue with your feet causing your calves to work to hard.. see a podiatrist. You could be using AAS which will cause an increase in RBC forcing more blood into that area because they are working so hard..The only way I overcame it was to lose some weight and train them everyday.. aerobically. I never do calve raises now. Stretch them as often as possible.
