    Carb OFF day

    has anyone here tried during dieting a day with the smallest amount of carbs and the calories would be from fats and protein>??? I'm talking about olive oil and maybe some peanut butter...

    I imagine the workout would suck, unless by Carb OFF day you mean that it would be on a resting day.

    I've done it while depleting for a contest but there is no reason for it on a regular diet.
    Choose your macros wisely and keep your calories in check and you'll lose fat.

    how early do you begin carb depletion???I'm preparing for my first contest.... so this is gonna be pretty much trial and error

    Everyone is different, It's not as simple as me telling you a day to start depleting. I'd have to see you on a day-to-day basis coming into the show.

    I'd hire a coach or work with someone in the know on contest dieting and prep locally if possible. There is so much going on coming into a show it's good to have someone there planning it out for you whether it's your first one or you're at national level IMO.
    Ask Carlos, VM helped him with his last show if I remember correctly and he's perfectly capable of doing it himself.

    I have a couple of people that have some knowledge about this, i am currently training with a champion(junior age) and current national level competitor....but we are very different ....he is the most knowledgeable man I have around .....there are others but they have old conceptions about training for a show using only super sets and giant sets....

    We'll give you as much help as we can but it's hard to explain things correctly with the keyboard and very time consuming.

    I will post my diet on the forum for debate....I have 7 weeks till the show...very clean diet only complex carbs and very little fat....

    What are your current stats? Include pics if possible. 7wks you don't have much time but it can be done, I was around 12% bodyfat at 7wks out which is WAY too high but I pulled it off, although I believe I lost a bit of muscle as well.

    i'm at 85.8 kilos ...188 pounds right now ....177 cm ....roughly 6 feet, I don't know about the BF ...but I think it's pretty high ..I will post some pics, later on today
