    Pain in forearm when working biceps.

    I have had this for a while, but today it got especially bad. It is only when I work biceps with a straight bar or an EZ-Curl bar, not with dumbells.
    The pain is in the outer part of my right forearm and it almost feels lik it is near the bone (Ulna I belive). I have to slowly release the grip with my right hand or the pain will be very bad. Today it got so bad I had to stop doing Preacher curls. The only other time I feel this pain is when I'm doing dips.
    Can't figure out if this is muscle, tendon or bone related. Any ideas?

    your for arm flexors are not strong enough to keep up with your biceps.

    train your forearms in order to get them up to par and in the meantime take it easier on your biceps.


    i was able to correct this problem in just a few weeks

    the above may help, but in addition form may be a key factor. I see alot of guys as they flex the bi at the top they also bring their knuckles toward them causing unnecessary strain to your problematic area. your forearm and hand should be in one straight line, this was explained to me by dr higuera who is a active release provider and instructor. i would recommend this treatment it helped me recover much quicker. www.activerelease.com but your form is very important, oh and stay away from heavy straight bar curls. good luck dude...
