    Help Critique PLEASE cutting diet

    Please help me critique my diet tryn to get a cut look goin ......ive looked up everything i think i needed to ...im usin lean chicken breast as my lean protien and some steak..and mix in eggs every now and then....heres what i got PLEASE HELP if its wrong

    6'1 230lbs 15% bf

    Meal 1 8:00 A.M

    Lean protein, 1/2 cup oatmeal...P6 (testostron buster)

    Meal 2 10:00 A.M

    Protein shake 2 cups...2tbsp flax

    Meal 3 12:00 P.M

    Veggies, lean protien (of some sort)

    Meal 4.. 2:00 P.M

    Protein Shake

    Meal 5 5:00 P.M

    Veggies, lean Protien, 1/2 cup oatmeal

    Workout (creatine/P6) 7:30 to 8:45.......Cardio 8:45 to 9:15

    Meal 6 9:30 P.M

    Protein shake

    All Rough estimants but should be close in the end

    Protien- 177g Fat 18.5g Claroies 1200

    Also flax seed is not included havnt really found it at the store yet

    List macros per meal and totals for day.

    If you're really getting 1200 calories per day then you need to rethink the whole diet. You should be shooting for atleast 2200-2500 for someone you weight. You're on track to lose a ton of muscle.

    even when ur tryn to cut u want to take in 2200 to 2500......i thoght the less u take in the better off u would probably be.....and the macros are at the end of it or maybe im thinkin macros are somethin else haha

    You say the less calories the better but if you dip too far below your maintenance caloric intake your body will turn to muscle stores for energy before fat and that's a fact. It will break your hard-earned muscle down into glucose and use it for energy, that's why diet is so important.
    Keep researching and put together a half-way descent diet for us to critique and list your macros (marcronutrients are the building blocks of food, protein/carbs/fat).

    so really the only thing thats lackin is calorie intake ......is what ur sayin is wrong with it

    1200 cals are you sure about this... you may want to start ALOT HIGHER and slowly work your way down.. but not down to 1200 if your going to eat 1200 cals a day you can say bye to alot of muscle.

    Well u have 3 servings of Protein Shakes... so lets say your using 2 sccops per serving approx 120 cals per scoop so 120 x6= 720 cals already... so now of the remaining meals u have about 480 cals left... in 3 meals.. i think u either need to re work your macros. if this ur way of going at it i would remove the shakes asap... because 720 cals from shakes will not fill u up..

    i really only planed on a total of 4 scoops of whey a day

    okay 4 x 120= 480

    480/1200= 40% of your daily cal totals from a whey based shake..at that caloric range u need real food it helps in the thermogenic process and will keep u full... to a degtree

    hmm well siht......i guess ill redue my diet tomorrow after work....and repost it and see what u guys think of that one........i got some good idea's from the info u guys are givin me

    Here are two diets that I use and have used in the past that have worked very well.. adjust as needed to your stats.
    I was 210 @ 10%bf while doing the LBM bulk diet and currently 198 @7% and cutting. This thread is for me to refer to rather than posting it over and over in ppl's threads, saves me time which I don't have much of lately.
    Enjoy and feel free to ask questions if needed.

    READY TO CUT?
    Cutting Diet

    9:00am – 8eggwhites + 1scp V60 (protein blend) + 1cup oats
    Prot(50), Carbs(55), Fat(5)

    11:30am – 8oz Lean Steak + ½ Yam + 1cup Veg
    Prot(50), Carbs(35), Fat(5)

    1:30pm – 8oz Chicken breast + 1cup oats
    Prot(50), Carbs(60), Fat(5)

    4:30pm – 6oz Lean Steak, chicken or Turkey + ½ Yam + 1 cup Veg
    Prot(40), Carbs(35), Fat(5)

    7:00pm – 12egg whites + 1cup oats + ½ cup fatfree cottage cheese (blended to make pancakes) Sugar free syrup and spray butter used for dressings.
    Prot(60), Carbs(60), Fat(5)

    10:00pm – 6oz Steak + 6oz Chicken + 1cup Veg
    Prot(70), Carbs(5), Fat(10)

    12:30am – 6-8oz Salmon + 1 ½ cup Veg
    Prot(50), Carbs(5), Fat(10)

    Total Macros
    Prot - 375
    Carb - 250
    Fat – 45
    Calories = approx 2900.

    Adjust carbs as needed to play with calorie intake, normally I use 200carbs/day.

    Since competition and various things I've learned I've completely changed the above diets, those diets listed will work but not nearly as effectively as a more well planned/thought out diet that I follow now..

    You could probally drop the protein a fair amount BUT HOWEVER..... its a good gauge of where u need to be macro's wise...

    Nothing against you lil hulk but 90% of the ppl around me and in the gym have the same knowledge of diet as you do which is close to none and they wonder why they can't grow or keep their weight from a cycle which in turn leads them to taking another cycle.

    Please research and learn more about how to properly eat, it will do you wonders and will pay off for the rest of your life.

    Here's my current diet btw, I usually don't put these out but what the hell.
    I'll use this to help lean up for the following months when I plan on bulking in march or april where little will change but I'll simply add calories and carbs to certain meals.

    lol it was just a sneak peak. Now you have an idea of what you need to do.

    You'll never learn anything if I spoonfeed you. Now go study.

    Btw, use the one Faiz posted as a guildeline.. it worked very well when I used it.
