I'm trying to get some feed back on what you guys feel is most effective for growth/strength
I do a three day split
day 1 chest- flat+incline bench, incline flys all 4 sets 8-10 reps
back- wide grip pullups, bent over rows, lawnmower
powertaining- deadlifts 10,6,4 to failure
day 2 bi's- barbell curls,twisting dumbbell curls 8-10 all 4sets 8-10 reps
tri's-cable pressdowns, weighted dips 8-10
shoulders- laterals, post delt raises
powertaining- clean+press 10,6,4 to failure, heavy upright rows the same
day 3 legs- lunges, squats, leg curls, standing calf raises 10-12 reps
lower back/power training-good mornings, straight leg deadlifts 10,6,4 to failure
abs are done three time a week 5 sets of 25
now my question is that I found I am capable of running this split twice a week with sunday off. The only way that I get through the whole thing is if I go with a lighter weight the first time through the split. Or am I just spinning my wheels with the lighter weight. I was told it's a way to get you body used to heavier weight and then increase it the second time around. My thought was to just cut it in half and go all out 3 day on 1 day off. my goal is the usual to get bigger and stronger. this routine has already noticable results for me I'm just trying to streamline it. let me know what you think thanx
