Anyone know of a site to check the value of certain metals by the pound? metalprices.com is like 50 cents off and they want you to pay for their service. I know the prices fluctuate daily and I want to stay on top of it.

i dunno about different prices for different metals but i calld a scrap yard once asking what their rates are and it was $27 per ton if i remmeber correctly?

over here its in the local papers in the stock exchange section. Steel here is $300NZD a tonne for short and $180 long (anything under 1 metre is short) and brass well that shits up to $9.90 a KG!!!

It got so bad with people stealing metal that now you have to show an ID and give a finger print to keep on file(at least in my area. Not sure about everywhere else)

I remember last year some poor asian provinces were having their manhole covers go missing and cars would drop a wheel into the open holes!!! They replaced them with hardened plastic, then the homeless would steal them to burn LMFAO true story.
