    AM workouts + pre and post workout meals

    If i can only get to the gym at 5am, how do i handle pre and post workout meals??

    5am-lift
    5:45am- cardio for 45 mins
    6:30- pwo-whey/oatmeal

    I cannot get up at 4:30 to eat a meal then go lift. what should i do? i know i cant lift on empty.

    Also...if i were to do cardio in the am and manage to lift at 9pm....is 9 too late to take in carbs for post work out?

    bump ... curious about the am lifting and cardio on empty stomach? What kind of results or lack of would this cause? If bulking or cutting? I think I read one of Nark's logs one time saying he lifted first thing in the am with only bcaas, but I may be wrong.

    you have 2 options IMO

    1. precook your morning meal the night before and eat it on the way to the gym

    2. a shake before, but i'd go against this because you'd be up for 3 hours or so with nothing in you but powder and water.
