    Cottage Cheese and PB

    I use to drink a whey/milk shake before bed, but then realized that it could be spiking my blood sugar levels which is not what I want during sleep. Soooo I started eating cottage cheese mixed with natural PB.

    Do you see any problems with using this as the last meal before bed?

    And for all you cottage cheese haters, try mixing it with about a 1:4 ratio of PB to CC and a dash of cinnamon, tastes awesome.

    thats wierd i just mixed those 2 things for the first time, and sat down infront of my computer and saw this thread. if your using full fat cottage cheese thats to much fat, i eat 1% so its like 3g or something then 10g of fat from my peanut butter. so 30g of protien and like 10-15g of fat is good. going to bed now

    r u serious ... I just had that last night ... that's weird ... I had a little natty pb left so I mixed it with cottage cheese and some splenda ... it was awesome

    I've been eating ff cottage cheese with splenda and some cinn. on top. If you're all testifying having it with nat. PB tastes really good, I'll give it a try tonight..

    yah i have that before bed about 4 times a week, its awsome. plus i add in aditional chocolate peanut butter protein poweder.

    IM sorry, ..Is pb , peanut butter?..I eat cottage cheese 3% fat...so just mix it with peanut butter?

    try fat-free cottage cheese, peanut butter, splenda, and a little vanilla extract.... mix it up and stick it in the freezer for like 10 minutes.... better than ice cream !!! (at least I tell myself that)

    Seriously though, it's a great pre-bed meal... especially since the PB takes longer to digest.

    That sounds really good actually... what sort of ratio do you use for the pb to cottage cheese? I go about 2 tbsp/lb...

    I usually put just under 2 tbsp of pb to meet my fat requirement. Then I subtract that protein from the cottage cheese overall and make up the protein macro. I use 2-3 little pouches of splenda and a TINY bit of vanilla extract (vanilla protein powder isn't bad either)

    I've never made it on a large scale... I unfortunately just think meal to meal but it would be pretty easy to figure out.
