We all pretty much agree that you generally run your test at a higher level than your stacked steroid. For example, I am currently running test E at 500mg/week and EQ at 400mg/week. Why do we do this? I do it mostly because this is what has been told to me since I 1st started using anabolics, and the rationale seemed to make sense. I have always heard that it is best to do this to prevent being 'shut down'. With that said, is there any clinical evidence that supports this idea? The reason I question this is a simple and uneducated assumption that we dont need those levels of testosterone in our system in order to keep our normal daily functions, such as sex drive, up to standards.
A normal healthy male produces about 7mg of testosterone per day, so roughly 50mg/week. This is more than enough to keep our libido up to par, stay active, etc. I understand anabolics shut down our natural test production, so why not just supplement what would otherwise be taking place? For example, why not run 200mg/week of test (which is 4x what our bodies produce) while running, say, 500-600mg/week of EQ? Assuming the desired effects of EQ, or any other anabolic for that matter, is our main goal. I do not subscribe to the 'more is better' theory, so I am wondering, and possibly considering trying to run my test at a much lower dose next time around.
Any of you have personal experience (not hearsay) or links to clinical results?
