    tanning beds and tattoos

would tanning beds ruin my ink? obviously it will allow it to fade quicker just like being in the sun, but will tanning beds increase the rate of fade?

I have a tat on my shoulder, and tan quite frequently...

Personally, my tat is looking lighter than before. Although it's hard to say how much, due to my skin being darker after tanning.

If you are worried about it, you try other tanning methods like Melatonin, spray on tans/sunless tanning solution. There are also sun screens made for covering tattoos. They have bottles of it at the tanning salon I go to, but I've never used it.

yes it will fade just like being in the sun.the best way to keep it from fading is to keep it out of the sun or tanning bed.but if your going to tan make sure you but on sunblock that will help it from fading
