10,000
shoudl cover the funeral
I have a basic $10,000 policy through work which should cover expenses only, but I dont have any kids/family that depend on me for support.
No kids, have lots in the bank, who needs life insurance?
I wrote an exam today about life insurance and I bombed it for sure.
Just curious spy, how long have you had this policy? It seems like it would be more economical for you to have something other than term because the premiums increase pretty significantly with age and has no savings component (unless it's convertable at age 65). Have you looked into converting it to a cash-value policy?
I'm sure you don't need too much as you probably have other financial assets, and not to many obligations. Just a thought though to perhaps add a savings element. I've got a Universal Life Insurance Policy. It's not worth too much because the investments took a dump. I have no family (dependents), no debt, so no need. Enough to bury my ass and clear my estate (if you call it that).
3 X my annual salary and then $50K for my spouse insurance.
Mav, how am I supposed to survive off of just 3x your annual salary? Better make it 6x
50,000 to my child
750,000 if i die and 500,000 if my wife dies. I told her if I die pay off the business, sell it, and invest with profits and live off residuals! No work and she would be set.
I've got $500,000 on my head. I'm 30 with 2 youngens and should I die my wife will sell the house and move back to our home town. There is about $250,000 in equity in the house so she would be set up pretty well with $750,000. At 29 she would be able to get back on her feet with that amount of money.
4 X salary and a really cool dog
Oh DnoMac, it's all good when you make 7 figures.Originally Posted by DNoMac

i have 3 times my salary plus 500,000 so it totals a little over 800,000. the only thing is im a single parent with custody of my two minor children and have left the funds for them but their mom would administer it . i hope she would the right thing.
500,000 here... covers the funeral for sure, my sisters will be fine for a while
Zero.
