Bro, you gotta hook onto someone younger who will keep you in the know. I was the same way then I latched onto my young brother in law and within a month was all better. Now I dress well everywhere. Work, home, gym, I always look good.

yeah exactly bro i cant afford those damn clothes I am more relaxed too. I have my 3 nice suits (armani/chaps/perry ellis) one good pair of dress shoes and some ties and slacks that are nice but these are for work. i like a more relaxed look like back in the day i wore armani exchange a lot but go back now and the damn jeans are like spandex! they are so small fitting it is silly. plus expensive damn 90bucks for some jeans I got a family now you know. Im having shoe issues right now like what shoes do i ware w/ shorts? or w/ jeans or khakis.

I live out west, a relaxed way of dress is quite acceptable most of the time. I wear Cinch jeans, boots and check out the shirts at hotbodz.com.

it doesnt have to be expensive. the single biggest thing to get over is "stubborness" we have all caugh our selfs saying to our friends, "damn what the hell is that guy wearing". and then going home and saying, "i wonder how i would look in that"

dont ****in lie guys! be open about clothes and styles, they are always going to change, just go with it

I used the money i saved buying a cheap ass car on putting together a nice wardrobe. I'd rather look good the 23 hours i spend outside of my car a day than the hour tops i spend in it. Most of it is brooks brothers, polo, and hugo boss.

A major problem is that diff areas of the country do different things. There are so many varying styles because people try to fit into certain classifications. To be honest im from new york and all i wear is plain t shirts, nice jeans and matching casual sneakers, nikes and pumas are popular with fitted jeans. Like the above poster said, especially for the summer, i will wear a plain white shirt, jeans or shorts, with a clean white pair of nikes and thats all there is to it. When going out at night again, a nice button down causal dress shirt, tighter jeans, and a nice pair of shoes are the norm.

so dont buy tight jeans man haha. i dont rock tight jeans and im still in style. u can rock a loose fit jean. the tight tight jean thing is way to much for me.

also where some nice shoes with your jeans. no sneakers unless ur going out to run around and stuff. wear some nice black dress shoes. and when in doubt a white t-shirt is always in style. but not a ratty like hanes t-shirt, a nice thick calvin klein one, or another nice brand.

I wear the roll-tops. I have one with beige trim, and one with the gold stitching and metal (gold) tips. I also have them in white with blue pinstripe roll-tops, and plain black 9-eye boots. Tims never get old...

Ask some of the gay guys around here to help you (not a shot, but gay dudes are usually good dressers.)

I do my own thing when it comes to dressing... I dress cheap all the time, unless im going out to someplace nice (for those occasions, I have a few top $$ Sean John outfits).

Even when im dressed cheap... I still look sharp. Plain T's, tanks, and some clean sneakers in the summer (I have a MASSIVE sneaker collection)... Hoodies, Rugby's, jeans, with boots in the winter.

I never wear Sneakers with Jeans though... and vice versa.

Fashion is what I do......Personal shopper. A great way to idiot proof your closet is to shop at a couple clean staples.... ie Banana Republic, Gap, and Hugo Boss. These company's offer a lot of classic wear, that is hard to get wrong.

    Hope this helps!
