    how to convince wife

I decided to compete in bodybuildingnext spring. Now I am very excited to do it but my wiffe hates the idea. She is cery self concious about her weight even though she is 5'4' 123 pounds. I need some of advice that would be able convince my wife that doing this is going to be fun for me. I am very competitive throughout my life and I gave up college football for her so what should I do

have to agree here mate, you gave up college football for her, and now she is giving you a hard time about bodybuilding due to her own insecurities?

agree with the above..giving up anything & sacrificing WHO you are & what you love to do isnt good man. hopefully it doesnt lead to regret one day.

I would be straight up blunt on this one.honey-I am doing this competition whether you like it or not...I would much rather you support me during this-its a personal goal that I want to accomplish & achieve.....bla bla....

maybe you can incorporate her into some of your cardio sessions to make her feel included somehow...you are going to have to make sure you are paying attention to her needs during your prep---it can be a very selfish time.

I'm completely baffled - what is her objection?

Her objection is that she is 5'4'' and 123lbs.

Yea she has bad insecurities. Her body is perfect she has real low body fat. I was in a motorcylce accident last year and I gained alot of weight and she was happy cause I was fat and she was skinny. I go to the gym four to five days a week and she thinks that is too much

    Dude,
We all need our hobbies, your wife really needs to support yours. Is she afraid of the AS usage?

ok, now that we have that out of the way,

I'm going to say it's you...

you need to tell her it's what you want to do, and that you think it will make you happy..

best thing in the world, because no matter what happens, she will see you eating correctly, changing your body and she will get on board..

my wife did, but she supported me from the start..

    good luck..

Your wife is a dream crusher for sure!!! I know because I am married to one also, not as bad, but she is still a dream crusher, the only difference is she likes how im starting to look on cycle. But for her to be happy cause you were fat and she was skinny should say something to you, I dont know why she wouldn't want you looking good so she could brag about you, I know if my wife was model material I'd be a bragging S.O.B!

First of all you need to sit down and talk to her. Look her in the eyes and hold her hand. Let her know that You love her for who she is and not for how she looks like. Tell her that is she very beautiful and that you will always think of her the same way as the years go on. Let her know that you have decided to compete in the bodybuilding ternament and that you're going to need all the support that you could get from her. Make is seem like you're both a team and she could help you on the cooking side or making sure that you're very disaplined on and off the gym.

you should have your partners full support, explain to her it means alot to you.but before you do suprise her with a nice dinner and bunch of flowers, she just wants you to pay attention to her, she thinks you will not give her any attention.flowers and little notes around the house will make her putty in your hands.
