how many cc's of air should i aspirate before pushing the plunger down does it really matter the last time i aspirated 2cc's of air went in the syringe n a tiny bit of blood came just though the needle into the barrel
thanks e1

2ccs of air? Are you jabing your lung? Just pull back a little till you see a bubble or two.
so how do u explain that it takes 2ccs of air b4 a bit blood gos in should the blood not go in first or have i nicked a vein
im sorry but....
whats "aspirating" mean?
u put the pin in ya ass pull back on the plunger wait for air to come in if not air you will get blood in this means u are in a vein u must pull the needle out n start again if u get air then u can carry on with the injection
dood. read over proper aspirating technices..
basically though - fill your syringe with gear and push out the air in syringe. insert pin into muscle group. steady pin and pull back on plunger (there should be some resistance here), a few air bubbles should go into syringe - not 2cc worth. if so then keep steady and inject. If blood comes into syringe then abort and retry in another location.
always inject slowly so if you did move it around after proper aspiration and hit/nicked a vein, you can discontinue and abort if you start to cough etc.
don't even know if 2cc of air is possible, never actually pulled it that far back to see though..
Okay, youre aspirating way to hard. If you've hit a vein, you'll see a rush of blood come into the barrel with the slightest aspiration. Its a very simple thing.Originally Posted by STEGO
oooooohhhhh..... ok ok now i know
golly guys, im sorry i dont know the technical word for that, but yea i "aspirate" always
i was injectin my frien and i nicked a vein, jus let go of the plunger BUT keep holding the syringe, with the pressure, the plunger ALWAYS seems to go out a bit
if you nicked a vein, you will see blood fill in the syringe with the slightest pull out, so i dont there is need to pull back ALOT
but omg, 2cc aspirate?!?! omfg...... thats insane!
thanks alot e1 but can any 1 explain the blood after the air
sorry guys i think i got my measurements mixed up a little..... or a lot
jabbing his lung? aspirating .01 cc or 5ccs has no difference.Originally Posted by Johny-too-small
