    Everyone's body reacts differently.

I rarely ever get SORE anymore, I get an awesome PUMP during my workout and may not be able to lift my arms or walk to my truck, but they are never SORE. Sometimes my muscles "ache" for a day or two after, but nothing unbearable.

It is just a reminder to me that it was yet another day that I failed to defeat the dreaded Iron Beast they call the gym. The beast knows I will be back to try again tho.

It helps me to toss in a high rep/ high intensity/ low weight arm workout every other week to shock things up a bit. This usually doesn't take longer than 35-40 min at best.

I think I know what your talking about. When you first started working out you would be sore for a couple days, right?

It happens to some people still. Everyone is different tho.

Ya, i've been working out now for about 2 years now, i ended up quicking about 1 year and a half ago for a couple of months, I've learned my lesson about that...

It just feels like i could i could work my arms out 4 days a week, i'm not gonna overtrain them it just felt like i wasnt doing much damage to them.

Im not exactley sure bro but it sounds to me like you use much too heavy weights for your arms and other muscles are doing most of the work, lower the weight and really focus on squeezing the shit out of the muscle as your working it, keep the reps high, most guys' arm react best to high reps, you do not need to use a rediculous amount of weight for your arms to grow, its all about form. Train them only once per week otherwise you WILL be overtraining them, remember you work your arms on almost ever single lifting movement you do, so your really working them a little bit all the time.

How do you figure bro, when your working your tris with your chest workout AND your shoulder workout and your working your bis with your back workout, if you were to train them twice per week you would be training them every day except on your leg day, hey whatever maybe that works for you but it sure doesnt work for me. How do you expect to push max weight on your other training days when your arms are always fried?

Your arms dont need to be sore to grow like any other body they grow by moving up in weight and hitting them with different exercises make sure doing when your curls or what ever your doing you use with strick form even if it means you lower the weight a lot least you will be working it right trying to make them sore is just going to lead to over tranning and they want grow at all.

one excersise of military press or dumbell shoulder press isn't a big deal for a shoulder day.......so I don't think you'll fry your tris too much......I mean I do front delt raises that doesn't include tri......I do side delt raises that doesn't in clude tri.....I do rear delt raises that doesn't include tri and I do military barbell or dumbell raises that does include tri.......so out of MY SPECIFIC work out I only use tris once along with shoulders.....so tell me how would they be fried?

and by the way chest was mon....shoulders was thurs......and arms is sat......I think that theres enough time to recover your tris and that one time uses for 1 excersise on your shoulder day isn't gonna break you......so theres my opinion in regards to your statement......

oh and in regards to the topic......you don't need to be sore to grow......being sore either means you over trained or your body is adapting to a new excersise.....and in some cases soreness can be related to lack of nutrition the previous day.....

if I'm incorrect on this plz chime in, but that's what I believe to cause soreness

now if your talking about not feeling the pump during or after the work out then that's a whole different ballgame
