    Cut-up-date

Back was acting up, so I took a couple weeks off. Its now been about two weeks since I started up again. Figured I'd go ahead and try to lean a bit since I couldnt lift (saturday was actually my first all out upper body workout in about a month, everything else was pretty light stuff.... and I still havent even tried squating!!!! I'm gonna die, my legs are shrinking!!!!) aqnyway, figured I would throw some pics up and tell t-bone hes a punk.

Those cam phone pics don't do you justice.

For your height you don't look 233lbs.

    But look very lean.

Hey I appreciate all the props. being 21 (b-day feb 18th) it definately is an encouragement. As far as not being 233; that weight can not be compared to contest weight where obviously there is no food or water in them when they weigh in. but 233-235 is where i usually stay and I have no reason to lie about that, so ya just gotta trust me.

Deus, You look fantastic...what are your plans for contest?

  15. #15
I dont think I'll ever compete, I'm going back up to my bible college in two weeks and they really dont have a gym. I'm thankful for what they have, but my faith is what comes first and I cant find the fellowship there anywhere else, lifting is secondary for me, even though I enjoy it very much. I'll do what I can but I'll probably never have the time to compete. bodybuilding is a life consuming sport, if your looking to compete. No plans as of now, but never say never, Right.

I hope nobody takes what I said as if you cant compete and pursue a relationship with god. I'm not saying that... Just that I wont have time at the college I'm going to(i'll be taking 20 credits a quarter[half a semester] and will have volunteer work on top of that). not to mention its in the middle of nowhere and I wont have a car. I wouldnt be able to drive to see a competition, let alone be in one.

Your choices are your own, this is your life and you are the one deciding what's good for you. I have always had an incredible connection to the lord and he has stood through cancer with me and brought me out the otherside! So I for one totally respect your decision, and I can tell you respect others to pursue their goals. You should be proud of that (I'm sure you are) and best of luck in whatever you pursue through the years.

i think he does look about 233 - good job man, what are you goals?

  20. #20
Thanks alot man. Right now, I really dont have much of a "goal" for weight lifting. I love to lift and do it because it takes care of HIS (Gods) body. Above all, I love how it helps motivate others to lift and live a healthy lifestyle. If it can help others then as a christian, I'm all for it. People always ask me "why?" and I love it because It gives me a excuse to tell them about a great friend of mine, who also happens to be my God-The true reason I even get out of bed in the morning, let alone lift. I know I'm going way over the top with this reply, but I just had some awesome time in the word and hey, Love will drive you to do some pretty crazy stuff. Anyway maybe one day I will compete, I dont know. Thanks Again.

Deus, you and I have a lot in common. I'm a youth minister at my church and I think the way you do. A lot of people consider it to be a bit odd, but being bold in today's world is a bit odd as well.

I used to share my weekly messages with the board, but I'm no longer allowed to do so as a result of board politics. Here's the link to several of them and I encourage you to check them out.
