Las Vegas!!

So I just booked my Vegas trip for middle of may...nice thing is it will be my birthday weekend and there are about 20 people going. We will be staying at the Golden Nugget hotel in downtown Vegas. My question is has anyone stayed there and what did you think?? or if anyone has heard anything good or bad about the place. It will be my first time in Vegas also, anything you recommend I do besides the Bunny Ranch lol??

yah...

1) bunny ranch is outside vegas...prostition is ILLEGAL in vegas so watch out
2) bring some good walkin shoes specially from the nugget :P
3) don't waste too much time gambling...way more fun stuff to do
4) go online ahead of time and get a list of free attractions.
5) imperial palace has these huge dacquries for cheap , i luf em
6) and final ... GET THE DOLLAR DOG! I can't remember which hotel...but there is a place that sells a gianormous hot dog for a dollar
7) watch your 6 walking from the nugget to the south strip. Might get robbed :P

1.Buy cheap beer at a convience store each afternoon before you head out, get a pregame in before you hit up clubs and get robbed on 10.00 redbull vodkas.

2. Deff, bring stylish, but commfy shoes you might have to walk and blisters suck.

3. DONT but vip tickets on the street to clubs its a scam, you can get these for free at the front desk of whichever club you wanna go. On busy nights slide a twenty under vip ticket to doorman to bypass long as lines.

4.Rent a party bus at 100.00 per hour. Stock it up with cheap drinks and cruze around for a few hours. Try to rent it around "closing time" so when you get done clubbing you have a chill spot to watch girls who are drunk off there grourds by now from the club utilize the stripper poles as nature intended. 10 people makes it only 10bucks an hour.

5. So, lets say you didnt do so well at the club one night, easy fix, hit up a bar at the casino. its slim pickens but these girls arent here to gamble.

6. choose sleep over a hoover damn tour.

7. If you didnt break up with your gf before you went then prepare to break up with her when you get back.

1.) I'd say take a bus from The Golden Nugget to the strip.
2.) You can get 100 oz of whatever you want in a huge tube (i.e. Long Island Iced Tea, AMF, Margartia, etc) for $32.00 at Harrah's.
3.) Downtown Las Vegas isn't that much fun to party (Sorry, full of the older non-attractive crowd)
4.) Gambling is gambling no matter what casino you go to.
5.) I've been to the Coyote Ugly @ New York New York, Rain at the Palms, and Light at the Belagio (tickets costing around $20-$50) and it's nonstop overflowing HOTTIES everywhere.

it's downtown and far away from the other hotels. vegas is a blast though. am going there for my b-day in april and then getting married at the bellagio in june.

hey has anyone ever been to ghost bar at the palms? or recommend some other cool clubs there?

my buddy is resident DJ @ Rain in the palms......I party like a rock star when i go see his ass.....I need to go BAD.....light in the bellagio is great...ghost bar is cool..PURE is awesome...RA in the luxor is decent

sorry to tell ya that the nugget ISNT the place to stay...its too far away..if you want a cheap hotel on the strip & really dont care too much about high end(and you dont cuz ur staying at the nugget) stay at the flamingo--its mid strip & cheap & in the middle of everything.

good thing you didnt book the stardust.......I just read it was imploded yesterday to make way for a new hotel

freemont steet is very cool but i'd rather stay on the strip because you will be spending most of your time there. make sure you use the bus system, i'm not sure what they are called but they are brown and double deckers. you can buy a 24 hr pass for $5. those hotels look like they are close together but trust me they aren't. it's like an optical illusion walking down the strip because you'll see somewhere you want to go and you're thinking you could get there in 5 minutes but it'll take you half an hour. have fun and be safe.

i arrive at vegas next week for spring break.. staying at MGM in a suite.. why the hell are you staying at the nugget.. all the actions on the strip. get ready to spend $25 or so bucks on a cab to and from the strip from the nugget. i say cancel that reservation and stay somewhere on the strip..

I stayed at the MGM Grand and that was exceptionally nice. I couldnt tell you what bars I went to, because for the most part it was a blurr.

One night I passed out in the stall of some strip joint.


Too much fun in Vegas!!!

I think i might not be allowed to go back for another 5 yrs or so, or at least until the wife forgives me for the first trip there.

Reason I am staying at Golden Nugget is because I am in a bowling league and thats who sponsers it...we got a badass deal. I just wanna have a good ass time, my biggest concern was having a nice pool area and going to clubs every night I am there. I am not too much of a gambler but I am sure I will do it abit.

What about getting passes to get into clubs?? I hear the lines are crazy there...

What ever you roll into in Vegas is going to be a hella good time. I dont see how you could not have fun in Vegas not matter what place you stayed in or what bar you partied in.

I think I went to RA one night and that was fun.

Even walking down the strip tripping on all the lights and drunk people is fun to me.

I get all pissed and and start talking to everybody like it was my highschool reunion.
