You can target the upper are area of the chest a bit with incline work but you can not target the inner or outer chest.
Check your PMs.Originally Posted by CaptainDominate

You will have to do some work if you really want to understand the body, for now start with origins, insertions and actions, also read up on skeletal muscle contraction.
Flat bench and incline are all you need IMO for total chest development.
I actually agree with you here (which is not normal because you do come off arrogant in many of your posts). Your pectorals are genetically predisposed to grow a certain way and that is the only way it will grow. You cannot change this. Therefore, the only way to get growth on your outter pectorals is to add muscle to your entire pectoralis major muscle. I do believe it's possible to target the upper cest, or clavicular, as there is a clear seperation between the clavicular and the sternal head of the chest (middle and lower region of the chest). Exercises such as wide grip presses and decline presses only add variety to your routines so your body does not get accustomed to one exercise. However, do not equate this to targeting your outter pecs or lower pecs because the pectoralis major works as one major muscle, and as result grows as one major muscle. The only thing I can suggest for you is incorporating fascia stretching techniques into your workouts and continue adding mass to your chest.Originally Posted by Jason865
