Im not sure why he is getting much attention on the subject but, nonetheless, I guess he is opining openly upon something many people believe.

He's right about everything he said on the war, it hasnt achieved anything except people dying and Iraq basically is over it went from dictatorship to eternal battlefield, which is a step down i would say.
I am working in the middle east now and everyone in Iraq and the surrounding countries do see saddam hussein as a nice guy who was doing an ok job WHEN COMPARING to the current situation. Sure he sucked back before this happened but he went down as a hero when executed because it happened while Iraq is going through WORSE times now.
When i'm back in texas this summer sure it will be back to not caring about the world and thinking that we know whats better for them, but right now while i'm here in the ME its really sad to see this because people have lost hope, thats why th killings will only get worse, nobody is going to go to college! nobody is going to become the next top recording artist or top athlete and no Iraqi will be coming on this website and asking for input on their next AAS cycle! They are doomed, for at least 20-30 generations to come! The infrastructure is destroyed, there is no safety.
There are more than 3million underage iraqi children between 11-17 who are basically sex slaves in iraq/syria/gulf states, this is a catastrophe, also all the thiefs and organ theifs and all the nasty stuff you can imagine is happening full scale, this didnt happen before, not even close to this! They will never be able to recover, the whole coutry was destroyed forever.
Just ask yourself do you really feel safer now from terrorism because this happened to iraq? Or did your fear from it just get diverted because you feel happy we are kicking someones butt?
That would be an understatementI am working in the middle east now and everyone in Iraq and the surrounding countries do see saddam hussein as a nice guy who was doing an ok job WHEN COMPARING to the current situation.
Yeah it really is sad to see, just an utter utter display of irresponsibilty resulting in total anarchy. Im not even sure leaving it to disintergate even further is very ethical, knowing that we allowed this to happen and segmented the society even further then it already was. Just a totally irresponsible, misled and failure in all aspects.
If anything, I feel the opposite.
Just ask yourself do you really feel safer now from terrorism because this happened to iraq?
I like when Blitzer says: "How does the US get out of this situation..."
Trump: "How do they get out? You know how they get out? They get out! Thats how they get out"
Where I disagree with him is by getting out and when he says this civil war will move into Iran, Syria and other in the vicinity. On everything else it looks like it will be the sad truth and I agree with him.
"What's next for Donald Trump?"
"Being in one of the main events for Wrestlemania"
But all seriousness, pretty much everything he said there is true and needed to be said.
duh!
I haven't even seen alot of Bush supporters in my native state of Texas either.
Personally, I think history may prove otherwise...
Sorry, but a guy who will argue with Rosie and can't even win the argument with, I can't take seriously.

LBJ and Nixon's presidencies are not looked at in a positive light, and much of that has to do with the fact that they were in an unwinnable (yeah, I made up a word) war. Especially with the technology that we have now, people in the future will be able to look back at every single negative aspect of his presidency. I think the PATRIOT Act will be looked back as something VERY negative, especially since the people of the future won't live through what we have. Even though that Michael Moore documentary was ridiculously one-sided, I can never get the image out of my head of our president hearing about the first plane and sitting there as if those 1st graders reading Amelia Bedelia was a bit more important. I hate to cite Michael Moore, but it is embedded in my brain.

Secondly, while the current president of the US may not be the favorite man in the world, and he certainly is not going to go down as one of the top presidents that was ever in office, I think it is a little premature to state that he his "the worst" president that "ever" was in office.
Am I supporter of the current president of the US? No.
Am I a hater? No.
I simply stated that history may prove otherwise, as there have been over 200 years worth of presidents in office in the US and to state that the current president is the worse president "ever" is not only a premature statement, but also a rather vague statement as well.
I'm not going to get into politics here, because I can't stand politics.
I just wanted to state my humble opinion.
4runner, take your attitude elsewhere, because of all your posts that I have read in the short time you've been a member here, it appears that all you are here for is to start a pissing match with whomever you can pull into one.
Your demeanor and board ethics are not going to get you far here, and as I've asked you in another thread, please tone it down a bit or your stay here may be shorter than you expect.
Start to show some "respect" to other members if "you" want to be taken seriously.
Thank you,
The question for me when it comes down to the war in Iraq, the credibility or lack of it when pertaining to bush, boils down to one question.
Did he really think there were WMD's in Iraq? and I don't know the answer. Maybe one day we will know the truth
Who cares if he thought there were WMD's in iraq. They're in korea and pakistan. We're not invading them. It was a bullshit excuse. There was no reason to invade Iraq.Originally Posted by Benches505

When a guy with an iffy record of success (lots of failed businesses in his wake, unexceptional academic record, mediocre performance as Texas Governor where 95% of responsibility for everything belongs to other folks -- and he doesn't really do much of anything, well, a guy like this who gets himself elected as #1 Head Honcho of the USA who knows (or should know) he's not really up to the job and then gets the country into a needless war, and gets thousands of Americans needlessly killed, gets tens of thousands of Americans seriously injured, screws up countless US families, costs hundreds of billions of $$$, kills hundreds of thousands of foreigners, ruins the good name of the USA in the eyes of every other nation on the planet, royally screws up the balance of things in the middle east, ya, this is something that few other US presidents have ever acheived.
Let me add the innocuous question of how does he get himself democraticaly elected and, may I add, re-elected? The effects of the lost billions of dollars might be intangible.Originally Posted by Tock

There was a time-frame in which the WMD story would have been credible, since out intelligence said they were "100% sure" there were WMD in Iraq then the assumption was made that they had some idea where they were!!
Now a few years later there is still no sign of them eventhough the technology to find them exsists, but you know what? they arent even trying to find them!! because they dont exsist!!
Some people argue that the weapons were well hidden!! well then how did the intelligence know about them in the first place?? Saddam was a fraction of the size of a missile and they managed to find him when he was well hidden!! How come still no WMD?? Over 90% of military leaders and intelligence leaders of iraq defected during the invasion and they all would tell you the future if u paid them 10bucks!! why didnt we ask them where the WMD's were???
Right now a few years after it is too late to find them now! The time frame for legitemacy is over, the world and the US people are too critical now, finding weapons now will only make people suspect that the US planted them there! And in the ME people already started saying that 2 years ago that the US will plant weapons there just to back up their initial lie!
On the day of 911 when the first plane crashed I heard that apparantly his aide said to Bush
"Its armageddon sir"
with which Bush replied
"Armageddon outta here!"
Actually i just made that up but it wouldn'y surprise me if he did say something like that. He is clearly the most stupid president in Americam history.
I like Bush......

Not to mention the whole Florida ballot thing. If all the ballots went the way that they should have he wouldn't have been elected in the first place. Now for the re-election, its sad to say but 9/11 was the best thing for his political career. His popularity was 2 fathoms away from the level of Marianna's trench and the fact that he wanted to go to war with Iraq to beging with and this new fear that existed gave him this ability. I may not be American but I thought it was a sad day for your nation when he was re-elected. It has caused a lot of trouble for your country and a lot of other nations as well.Originally Posted by Prada

It pisses me off all the talk bush made about rebuilding the site of 9/11. That has turned into a disaster. Its a shame that this many years later we are still looking for bodies. **** rebuilding Iraq. Rebuild NYC
