Alpha/beta sub-units

Hey all,

Does anyone know if HCG Pregnyl contains both alpha and beta sub-units?
I heard Pregnyl is derived from the urine, but only contains alpha sub-units and not the beta sub-units. Is this true?

If this is true, I also heard that Novarel and Ferring contains both sub-units. But I cannot find a website that sells it without a prescription. So if anyone knows of a website that sells either brands, could they please give me a link?

Nevermind. I found a bodybuilding website saying HCG Pregnyl WAS in fact synthetic and only had the alpha sub-units and not the beta sub-units.

But, with more research I found dozens of sites saything that Pregnyl is naturally derived from the urine of women and contain both sub-units.

The BB site said that recominant HCG only contains the alpha sub-units. So that means that since HCG Pregnyl is NOT RECOMBINANT, it contains both beta and alpha sub-units. Because only recomibant HCG contains the alpha sub-units!
I just found another site saying the same thing too!

So that basically means Ovidrel HCG is the ONLY Recombinant HCG right now.
I wish websites wouldn't spread lies and rumors.

It has evrything to do with steroids. Many people here use HCG, do they not? I was just asking if anyone knew if Pregnyl contained both alpha and beta sub-units and is a polypeptide hormone. Thats all.
