Thread: PO Box question

  1. #1

    PO Box question

I know in order for me to get a PO Box I have to show identification. Was wondering if I use a fake name to order something will they still put it in the PO Box or will they send it back since the names don't match.

Hoping someone has some experience about this. Thanks in advance.

I do not know about 50 but it is extra time and they will catch you.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear about that. I meant getting the PO Box with my real name because I don't have any fake IDs anyways.
But then if a package comes that has a different name on it will they just return it??

I personally would not use it. If your source knows what they are doing you should be fine.

Thanks for the help. A PO Box is my only option right now. I will either have to use my real name or not order at all for now.

Get the P.O. box and wait a couple weeks, you should get about half a dozen names of people who have had the same box. Use one of them or just make up one. It doesn't matter though, if the feds pick up your case you only have about a 10% chance of getting out of it!!

This is not a good idea. There are many threads on other boards about this and why it is a bad idea.

yup UPS and other independant companies run under there own restrictions meaninng that there not government owned, so they can practically open anything at anytime they want. while the USPS has to live with the standard or privacy unless for some reason ur package looks like a bomb then they could open it.

I would not order large quanities to a P.O box what happens if it doesnt fit in your box? It sits on a counter until you pick it up. Make sure you know how your source packages that should help greatly on deciding what method you want your gear sent 2.

FedEx and UPS have their own investigators that can inspect packages. For some reason, being that FedEx and UPS are private entities, the investigators have greater powers under the law to open packages than would a postal inspector needing a warrant under the USPS system. Reason alone, you have more scrutiny available from a FedEx or UPS investigator, which adds one more obstacle in your way of obtaining your package. Second, and MOST IMPORTANT reason to not use FedEx and UPS as to USPS is simply sheer volume of packages being mailed daily. By playing the laws of statistics, a package is LESS likely to be opened or noticed through the USPS system

I think you are mixing 2 different scenarios. It can be shipped via USPS to a UPS box. Then you get the benefit of USPS rules on opening packages as well as the sheer volume with the added benefit of 24 hour access to your UPS box.
