    Yes, I speak a bit of French too, but the music style isn't to my liking. Pop/r&b/rap don't often make it into my CD player. That's the reason for the "mute" comment.

    When I learned French, it was from speaking to people I knew when I was young. I was never formally taught or raised in the language so when those people disappeared from my life, moved on to college or went in other directions, I had no one to speak it to. I don't think I've spoken a word of French in six years.
