I have a question(s) about a shoulder injury a few years back. About 7 years ago when I was 21 I injured my shoulder doing dips.. Like an idiot I didnt warm up and just started pumping them out. I felt a pop and just ignored it. But my streangth really took a dive and I had a sharp pain in my front part of my left shoulder. It would hurt if I did a flat bench motion or if I raised my arm straight foward above my eyes. My bench press went down from about 270 to like maybe 160 or so. The pain was there for about a year until I took up boxing and then the pain was gone in about 3 weeks. Funny how throwing left hooks took away the pain. Even though I now dont have pain I have never regained the streangth in my flat bench press. I now just work out doing Dumb bell presses in which I never am able to go lift passed 65 pounds or so for about 6 reps. I can get a great work out pain free but it is frustrating when I dont see progress in my flat bench and when I see guys much smaller than me benching more weight. The interesting thing is that I can actually lift more doing incline bench than flat bench....... Does this sound like a rotator cuff injury and if it is did I wait to long to do anything about it with out any kind of surgery???
thanks for the responces in advance
