Planning on sketching up a pro bodybuilder any suggestions? I will post the picture up when completed.

sketch up ronnie, but give it a twist.
make him half gorilla half man.
i think with his face should make it easier.
haha il take this into account. I think I may use charcoal
Kevin Levrone in his prime would be cool....
Regaurdless of who you sketch though I think its a cool idea cant wait to see your work....
draw me and ill post a pic of myself
Just a suggestion. Changing Black people into monkeys or gorillas is a bad idea.Originally Posted by collar

The sketch is complete. I sketched a picture of Coleman due to first request and I was impatient to wait around lol. I did not do the ape concept because of what Carlos said. I thought of this before Carlos said it though. I can do more let me know what you guys think. I'll have it up in 15 min just waiting on my camera to charge.
The reasoning behind the sketch. I picked up this art class in school, and I might as well draw things I like such as bodybuilding. Its kind of funny the professor calls me Mr.Muscles. He's very into my art on bodybuilding he thinks the features of muscle are like gold on paper. Then again all art professors are a little "strange"

On second thought now Im confused with the refrigerator reference
here it is not good at faces at all. Something I need to improve on. Wow the head looks sooooo small now that I look at it.

not bad at all.
the shading on the muscles look pretty good too.
the shoulders, chest, traps, and abs look great
Thanks musclehead! head is a little to small, but it just make ronnie look bigger haha. Next time someone pick a pose for me to sketch up.

ive always been very good at drawing extra realistic pictures of muscle. your shading is awesome, is coleman supposed to be slightly morphed?
Lol yea I guess you can say hes morphed, Just from his head size. I'm going to try someone else later on tonight, but as realistic as possible. Thanks for the compliments bros.Originally Posted by Timm1704
Tim if you have any work laying around of body building I'd be interested to see for reference.

i havent got any around that i have sketched, mine would be more considered doodles lol, I can draw bodybuilders that look very realistic as far as angles, striations, muscle and skeletal layouts etc, but compared to yourself Im no artist.
How about a traditional double bicep pose of arnold....
Was this pic taken at the Olympia?Originally Posted by Carlos_E

yeah I'm thinking about Arnold, I'm heading to the gym now, so when I get back later on I will start the sketch. Front double bicep on 18x 24x paper. Or maybe I should sketch up nark haha
im not comparing this to actual art, but as it seems alittle relevant, i just remembered i made acouple of pics in paintbrush last year or maybe the year before
lol and one more, not quite as good as the deadlifting one, but still, its late, im bored, i will post it regardless
nice ones Timmm,
i wish i had my super rhinoceros, and giant bodybuilder human like dobermans sketchs from like 1st grade..
but alas they are all gone... :-(
come on man, reminisce! surely you can conjure up an old image from the distant past! draw! draw! DRAW!
LOL..Originally Posted by Timm1704
tbolz, you should think about drawing a comic book character. traditionally comic book characters have slightly smaller heads to make their bodies appear larger. just a thought. you are very talented.
Heres the big guy. Critique! I really need to work on faces. I am not good at life like features such as eyes, noses, mouths ext
^^Arnold's smile in your sketch is killing me bro![]()
Nice.

Much better imo.
I dig your style bro.Originally Posted by TbolzNdbols
you got arnolds nose right,, and his smile is right on point also, or will be with minor changes to rest of the face...
but yeah his REAL LIFE face doesnt exacly fit the triangular type of look u have to your drawings...
but keeping with the triangular style, cause it does look really good, u should work on his face a bit tho..
I'm not artist, but i'd look into making it more of a Trapezoid maybe..his face is actually kinda trapeozidy from up front... hopefully that won't make him look too much of an robot.... but thats where i think he is hurting is the chin.
