It is obvious that both sides truly believe they are following the correct course of action. It is that division, and the opposing political view points that makes our system of government great. It creates acceptable and fair compromise, by injecting logical and just alternatives.
There are places many where anyone opposing the leadership disappears in the night, or indeed is strung up from a light pole for all to see.
Personally: Im with Cheney on this, but thats another thread.
i had no idea cheney was still around. havent seen or heard from him in a while.

That's why I said "the level of division", but I guess I should have put it differently. Maybe "the level of incivility" would have been a better term. Nothing of importance will get done for a long time because of the current relationship between Dems and Republicans.
