    Biceps

    Hey guys, I know that training is suppose to be kept to 4-5 days a week and that you should only do each body part once a week to achieve adequate rest....but I was wondering if doing biceps twice a week would help or hurt my bicep growth progress....My split right now is.......
    Monday:Chest
    Tuesday: Back
    Wed, Shoulders
    Thurs: Legs
    Friday Bis and tris

    I was wondering if i could just add bi's to the end of my back routine to give theman extra boost.....my tricpes are very well developed where as my biceps are mediocre at best....lemme know thanks alot guys

    Thats not a bad plan, i have a similar routine as yours...give it a shot for 4 wks, see if it helps...

    Biceps are one of the easiest muscles to over train because they are one of the smallest muscles if not the smallest.. I try to keep biceps to a max of 3 exercises per week, which sux because theyremy favorite to train.

    Dont forget most back exercises work biceps almost as well. DOnt over do it.

    and anywhere i have read is that smaller muscles recover much quicker. Thanks anyways.

    like CD said you could,

    here is another couple things to chew on.

    1. make sure the bi work after back is a light pump day,
    and the day you do bi/tri is heavier with less sets more intensity.

    2. only do twice a week for about a month then back off again for at least a month only once a week before doing another 4 weeks of twice a wk.

    3. I would also think about taking thurs off and doing legs on sat.

    i think thats to much think about it ur biceps are one of the smalled muscles on ur body....you wouldnt train legs/back/chest twice a wekk most likely so why would you train the smallest twice? just how i see it. i only do 6 sets of bi's a week and thats after back....

    small muscle recover faster....there like calves....you can do calves everyday...samll muscles recover faster.........

    MFT, thanks for the advice thats sounds good....i'm gonna give it a shot and see if it helps if it doesnt i'll go back to once a week but i figure lets give ti a shot...thanks alot for the advice man

    I believe they recover faster then the larger groups BUT I don't think the recover as fast as calves or abs....

    give them 3 to 4 days before you work them......

    I work them on tuesdays and fridays.......

    thats what i plan on doing and yes i agree with you on the fact that they recover slower than calves and abs but faster than chest or legs......thanks alot for the input
