I need some advise, I am confused

Before my knee surgery (probably a year, had a motorcycle accident and I tore ligaments) I mainly worked out my upper body. I don't know what I did but the morning after I worked back and bi's the ligament on the inside of my right arm started bothering me. I ignored the pain and continued to work out. I spoke to my doctor (the same one that I go see my knee for) and he took an XRay and saw nothing (no tears) and gave me some anti-inflammatory pills. He said it might take a while to heal and wasn't too concerned about it. I am starting to freak out because my left bi measures 13 and 3/4 inches and my right measures 13 and 1/4 inches. My question is, how long does this take to heal? I never really stopped working my arms out, just handled the pain.
This has been going on for about 6 months. If I am doing preacher curls I can only go down half way or I start feeling the pain, the same with standing curls.

look , you have to back off , use lighter weights or take some time off to let your body heal. the difference in you bi measurments is minimal, also, if they took an xray of your arm, it would show shit, you would need an mri, xrays dont show soft tissue
