    groin pain from jujitsu

    I pulled my groin muscle against an opp that outwieghed me by about 100 lbs. since then high kicks are a bitch to get full power. I used to have a devistating kick but now I am afraid to lay it in hard cuz I feel like I wil pull it again. the other side is starting to hurt too. any sugesstions to heal it? frustrated!!!!!!

    best and most simple thing to do is go get seen by a sports physiotherapist, atleast you will know more then about what needs to be done

    When i read these threads i realize i've had every inujury out there!

    I stretched my groin bad while just stretching and i thought i tore it, i went to the doctors and it turned otu i just overstretched, checked again for any hernia or problem and they said no just an overstretch, it hurt back then, it hurt during physical therapy, and it still hurts today even after doctors told me everything is ok and i got an MRI.

    The problenm in my jiu jitsu class is that everyone is too lazy to be technical so they all want to pass your guard by trying to split your legs open, i just told the people there in an announcement that i have a hurt groin please use technical passes instead of the groin-splitter to pass when u roll with me.

    The ones who listen and acted right i roll great with, the ones who dont get it and still want to be tough i just crank my submissions on them and hurt them, if they get mad and ask why i tell them hey i roll the way u roll, u want to make my injury worse? i will give u injuries so u can knwo how i feel first hand maybe then you will be more considerate.

    As for kicking i just worked my low kick more on the side where i wam hurt until i can regain flexibility i can do stretches now no problem lightly.

    I like the way you think. That should get their attention.lol.

    Dank1970, perhaps a good physical therapist could work it out for you.
