Where can you get it? Prescription only?
Where can you get it? Prescription only?
I only know of prescriptions as a source.
I don't know about taking it as a vasodialator. I am thinking it would be rather short lived. I would think there are better options out there, but not as fast acting.
Can you post some research suggesting this is safe? Anything they use to save someone mid heart attack is scary.
Mike PM me if you really want to give this a try for everyone. No source discussion on most boards and I am sure this one is no different.
My question was if it required a prescription and I didn't ask for a source discussion. But I'll pm you for much-appreciated advice.

Yes, it's like being hit in the balls but in the head. You put it under the tongue and wait for the 10 min migraine and it throbs like a mf. Helps you forget angina pain. You can purchase it here at pharmacies under the name of anginine and without prescription. In Australia that is.Originally Posted by taiboxa
I wouldn't do it. Too much nitro will drop your blood pressue dramatically. And that is NO good. Used for people with angina. And by the way, if your are taking in the past (24 hrs)viagra, (36 hrs)cialas, or (24 hrs)levitra mixing nitro is a BIG no no. You are now twice as prone for a significant BP drop. Hope this helps in your decision.
To answer your question, yes in north america nitro does requires a prescription. It's a little red bottle with a pump (I'm not sure the pill format is still sold anynmore).
It's also available to Paramedics as they carry it in their med-bag.
I'm sure you researched this, but be warned it's a *serious* vasodilator... it's meant to turn the small arteries that feed the heart into freakin fire-hoses. As Qbert has said, nitro + viagra or cialis can kill you.

ya dude, i would never ever take that as a vasodilator! , use like a n02 product of some sort for that effect, nitro will dump your bp and give you a nasty head ache.totally advise against it.save it for when you start having angina pectoris!!!
It is only available by perscription. Pill and Spray form. IV form only in hospitals. Very bad idea. Have to be better products out there. But being the use of Vasadilators are used for most heart issues that might be a clue to think of another avenue.
Good Luck

anyone considering needing or getting some nitro should see a medical professional.
