reducing red shaving bumps on body

i don't know if this was ever mentioned on this site, but i found a way to stop or severly reduce getting those red shaving bumps on your body. i get them on my shoulders, upper & lower chest, and at the crease where your forearm meets your bicep.
what u have to do is go to any pharmacy and pick up a bottle of witchazel. it looks like rubbing alcohol. i shave while in the shower. i towel dry and splash some witchazel in my hands and apply it to wherever i would normally breakout. i then pat dry with a towel and put some skin moisterizer on. no burning. no bad smell. i barely get red anymore. let me know if this works for anyone else. good luck.

Ok dude I tried the witch hazel 2 days ago instead of using my usual rubbing alcohol after a shave. So far you are right and this stuff works better. No red bumps. Usually I get them within 2 to 3 days. I will let you know if there is a change but at this point everything is good. Thanks.

i find there will still be some red bumps. a lot less than normal. it seems like once i start sweating, the bumps get irritated from my t-shirt and become a bit more red. oh well, it helped somewhat. someone will figure it out sooner or later.

i use this stuff called hibiclens also after shaving.... its an antibacterial that you are supposed to wash with a day or 2 before surgery. you can also use AVEENO bath....its great!! & then some hydrocortizne cream or calamine lotion to help dry out the bumps.. if you shave, they mite be ingrowns, so use an exfoliating scrub & gloves..(my girl taught me that one)

This may sound wierd but I have been using Olive oil for the last couple of days. It leaves my face feeling refreshed and no burn even when I draw blood. I use a real good Olive oil from Israel. works great!!!

I use a product called Tendskin and it is amazing. Skins feels smooth and no bumps. I was going to do laser because of so much irration after shaving, until I found tendskin.

The witchhazel is great. Maybe one or two here or there but not as much as I use to get.
