cutting and adding muscle at the same time

I am currently ment to be cutting but i also want to try n add muscle aswell. I train 5days/week now for my cutting i do mon/wens/fri cardio 1hour/day i also take clen only on these days and tues/thurs i do wieghts high reps. i want to block out the carbs on my cardio days n bulk on my wieght days is that possible my friend sais i should just lower my calories all together while i cut. But i want to mon/wens/fri cut low cals and tues/thurs bulk high cals and weekend is cheat.

    what do u guys think?

Just stick to one goal at a time you will have better overall progress

You can not successfully do both, if you are cutting then your diet should resemble a cutting diet (less than maintenance calories and lower carbs) and it is difficult to add muscle or bulk because that will require a bulking diet (more than maintenance calories and more carbs).

If you eat less 3 days a week and bump the calories up 2 days and have a cheat weekend you will get no where. Your diet will just be contradicting its self and you wont see the progress you would have if you prioritize your goals and stick with either a cutting or bulking diet.

What are your stats? If you still have some room to build then bulk, if your bf% is high then do a cut and try clean bulking once you lose a reasonable amount of bf.

The only way I can see this to be possible is if you are slightly thin, workout hard while running and eat a lot and it is possible. Although I must say it isn't won't be fast. I was able to do it but again im young, and i was only around 125lbs got up to 150 by the end of my soccer season. It is possible but you got to keep at it.

if u have a really strict diet w/ a lot of cardio i think it can be done, it just wont be as good as say bulking and then cutting
