    new to powerlifting

    hey bro's ive been training for hypertrophy for about yaer and half.but i really like lifting heavy ass sh*t.
    i was trying to put together a program, but dont know how i should format it. im a beginner at this and want to be safe, so figured id ask the best there is.

    If you don't find any you like there then go to Deepsquatter.com and look in the archives. Pretty much every routine known to man in there except the Russian routines. You also might look under Boris Sheiko. His routines can work very well for beginners as long as you are realistic about the amount of weight you use. Try them all and then take what works for you by experimenting. Get into competition at some level and then you will understand why some of us do this all our lives. Good luck.

    If your new to the sport then I really recommend you simply spend time learning the movements. Dedicate time to learn the competition and skill movements as often as possible. After you spend time performing the movements, you'll learn how your body reacts to certain schemes i.e. high volume, high intensity, low volume, medium intensity etc..... From there choose a system or template that suits your needs, so far the consensus seems to be that most do fairly well of a westside template.

    try a standard one and see how that goes initially.
