Just wondering what's everyones preferred method for shooting... What spot, needle size, any trick you may have and why?

Probably best to do lots of research and figure out your own method. Its probably the most dangerous part of steroid use.

spot injections dotcom (I think thats what it is) is a pretty good place to learn proper protocol- they have illustrations too or atleast they did... good luck.
Start simple. Google intra-muscular (IM) injections. Look up most common sites and pin (Needle) sizes. If you can't find it PM me I have a site I send my students to that has all of them.
Buff
I recently started ed and rotate 4 injection sites now (glute, quad, lat, delt)
I think quad w/ 25g 1 inch is the best. It's the easiest to access and the most painless afterward. Feels as if nothing ever happened. Glute is good too, classic. I do like the lats so far, I thought they'd be harsh considering it's an area with lots of nerves - but it's going well.
I have to say that delt is a nightmare though. I remember whenever I got innoculated when I was younger for Tetanus that the delt injections left me with very sore and tender shoulders. Now I'm a lot gentler than some nurse in a school building giving out public innoculations. I heat the oil good and massage the area plenty and it's still always sore as crap! Terrible!
I heard that freezing the needle the night before can help, anyone ever try that?
No, but if you were looking for a trick then the simple "heating" of the oil filled barrel under a stream of hot tap water from your faucet for a couple of minutes makes a VERY BIG difference. And of course massage the area afteward. Simple things youv'e heard before undoubtedly, but it works.Originally Posted by deeznutts
Realize that it will never be perfect though, sometimes you just get unlucky and hit an area with more nerves. You'll feel it later the next couple of days. Othertimes it is perfect and you don't feel a thing.
Injecting right before a shower is great to lessen pain and get that oil in there good. as for sites I like shoulder for water based and glutes for oil and I never use anything bigger than 23g.
its hit or miss with me but i rarely go anywhere but the glutes.......i just dont feel confident enough in knowing what the hell im doing when im jabbin myself in my back or chest or legs
Yeah I'm a fan of the glutes... but my boy wants to try a diff spot, he passes out from going in the glutes.
25 guage 1 inch into fairly lean body - glutes, outer quad, center delts.
What does injection frequency have to do with the size needle you use?Originally Posted by fanatic

25g 1 inch it must take like 20 minutes for that oily love to get all the way in.
draw with an 18 the inject switch off with glutes and quads! 23g 1.5 inch
TERUMO of B-D for me!
Once some Idiot I met at the gym had me do his first shot he got his own needles and i didnt see till after that it was an 18g bloody and awful! and he couldnt walk right for a few days! some guys man!![]()
Ya I get your point, but why not always just use smaller gauge even using long ester?Originally Posted by fanatic

A lot of different opinions here. check out s p o t i n j e c t i o n s.com (take out spaces).
that site has a lot of useful info on sizes and correct injection techniques. of course it's not the bible, so you can vary the sizes if you wish.
one example is that it advises to use a 25g 5/8" pin for delts. Personally, i find this not deep enough and prefer to go with a 1" pin.
I hear a lot of people saying smaller gauge pins take forever to inject, but I have no problem doing 3 ml in under a minute with 23 ga. Does that mean it is no going to the right spot? Or my muscle just takes in the oil easily?
When you hit your quads or lats is your muscle tender (kind of sore) like it is with the glutes? How does it affect your works if at all? I have no pain in the glutes while injecting just some tenderness for a few days afterwards.
I typically shoot quads, I just rotate to different areas so I'm not always hitting the same spot. Sometimes I'm a little more tender afterwards than other times, but it has never been enough to keep me from lifting. If it's leg day I shoot after I lift and I've never had a problem. I use 25g 1" usually Terumo brand.
Glutes 23g 1". Will try other spots in the future. But glutes have been easy and painless.
Yeah, a smaller guage would make sense no matter what the ester. I just always use short-estered compounds, which is why I put that. I knew the most popular dart recommended would be a 23g 1inch (advice tends to be pretty predictable in this game haha) so I was explaining why I go smaller. Moral of the story: darts are da*n near the only thing in AAS use where smaller is better, so go small people. lolOriginally Posted by C_Bino

i actually use half 27 g half inch needles for my delts, since i'm skin tight i easily penetrate the muscle, and it slides in like a baby, i sometimes do not even feel it, like not even a pinch, only draw back is that it takes like 200 years to load in the syringe
but i definitely would go with a 1" 23 g needle in the glute unless you have a fat ass *not saying that in a offensive way* i'm just saying if your ass has a lot of fat on it, u might want to go with the 1 1/2 inch needle , which is scary looking

well you can definately see the veins better in lean areas as well as the muscle you intend to shoot ,other than that i dont think it matters ,personally i would probably need a 2"needle to shoot my ass and those are little scary to meOriginally Posted by deeznutts
23g 1" quads and delts.
I've tried 22g 1 1/2" for quads, found it didn't make a difference in injection time and I would bleed more often. Also tried 25g 5/8" for both quads and delts, they made my quads swell up like crazy after injections.
I never tried on delts yet and I find calves are less painful than bi or triOriginally Posted by pigrond
23 ga into quads....but i never thought to try the 25 ga. Thought it would be too thin to get the oil in...will have to try it now though...![]()
Can't go wrong with the glutes.
delts 23g 1"
glutes 22-23g 1 1/2"
You may think differently when you get a little bigger...Originally Posted by skr0w
