all liberals do is contradict themselves. they want to make people think they are tough but when it's time take action they all turn into lil "girlie men" G.H. Bush was the man, and G.W.Bush is one of the best presidents we've ever had.
Sure he is, so long as you overlook the needless war he started, and how he's alienated the rest of the world from the US, and how he and his administration have worked hard to eliminate civil rights to US citizens . . .Originally Posted by deadlifts

we told saddam about weapons he could and could not have after the 1st gulf war, he didn't listen. So Bush was man enough to do something about it. And go tell a mother who lost her son in Iraq that he was fighting a needless war, that will sound good. And what you call eliminating civil rights is just Bush trying to keep America safe. This is a post 9/11 world buddy, wake up.Originally Posted by Tock

The UN had guys looking for those weapons, they couldn't find them. When the US troops got there, they looked for 'em too. They couldn't find 'em either.Originally Posted by deadlifts
Turns out US intelligence said they didn't have 'em, but Bush and his cronies in the White House didn't want to hear what they had to say, because they wanted to start a GD war. Probably thought they'd get a puppet state in Iraq and get US corporations set up to get cheap oil to sell to Americans for big profits.
If she's been watching the news, she already knows this war did not have to be started. The tragedy of her losing a son doesn't change that.Originally Posted by deadlifts
You obviously haven't been following the recent uproar over Bush's Attorney General and what he's bee doing, have you? Now, even Republican Senators and Congressmen think he stinks.Originally Posted by deadlifts

Obviously you NEVER read the news, I wasn't talking about nuclear weapons smart guy. I was talking about the treaty saddam signed after the first gulf war about how scud missles couldn't go over certain distance, and things like that that he completely ignored. Read up on you politics before you make a statement that is completely wrong.
And yes I know...Bush and all his "evil" little cronies sat around in a dark office just lau***ng and thinking about a way to create a war! they are all just these evil dark figures in dark suites sitting around and thinking of evil things to do. but somehow you found out the truth!! now your going to be hunted down and killed watch out!! the evil government is coming!
+1 We were bombing the crap out of Iraq in the Kuwait incident and he waved the white flag. As a CONDITION of his surrender (i.e., we don't kill him and wipe out his entire forces) he wasn't to have certain weapons and was to allow UN weapons inspectors full unfettered access.Originally Posted by deadlifts
Years passed and he decided to play the bluff game. The whole "maybe I do, maybe I don't have WMD's" isn't a game we were going to play with him. We called his bluff in the interest of safety. BTW we did find some weapons that he WAS NOT ALLOWED to possess and we don't know what happened during the whole standoff with the UN weapons inspectors. There were tons of ways to sneak out weapons and technology and more than enough willing people to help him do it.
This is no different than when you are fighting your little brother and you hold him down. Tell me if this sounds familiar...
"I'll only let you up if you calm down"
"ok, I'm fine"
Then you let him up and what happens? He kicks you in the nuts and runs.
The UN inspectors were there and doing there job. They sites many sites where Bush and co said there were weapons and proved Bush and co wrong many times. The inspections were working. However, the more the UN inspected, the more they showed that Bush's was full of it. So Bush attacked anyways. And you can't say Bush wanted peace because the whole time the inspections were going on, Bush kept send more and more troops to the gulf. He had an agenda and he was going to see it through.Originally Posted by Act of God
Yep. Just ask Richard Clarke, the President's chief advisor on terrorism.Originally Posted by mcpeepants

"And I said, 'Paul, there hasn't been any Iraqi terrorism against the United States in eight years!' And I turned to the ***uty director of the CIA and said, 'Isn't that right?' And he said, 'Yeah, that's right. There is no Iraqi terrorism against the United States."
Clarke went on to add, "There's absolutely no evidence that Iraq was supporting al Qaeda, ever."

^ It should say former chief advisor on terrorism.
Look how not a single post on this thread is related to the topic, Al Gore.

Yeh and plus, he doesn't have the IQ to back up that cocky smirk (unless you qualify Karl Rove as his brain).

Actually, that woosh sound was you successfully spelling the sound. You succeeded! To be honest, I didn't even listen to that Gore clip. It's hard for me to imagine you spelling something out for me. Try your best to be realistic now. Castles in the sky do crumble my friend.

Doesn't it boggle the imagination that 30% still support lil Bush after everything we've seen. At least now we know that 30% of the population is completely out of touch (just like lil Bush). Some of them visit steroid forums.
