    Working out - Special Footwear?

Does anyone actually sport any nice workout shoes (Otomix..etc.) or just throw on any old kicks they find?

My gym is at home, so unless it's leg day I usually lift in bedroom slippers. Comfortable and no one here to impress.

I wear otomix trainers, unless I'm deadlifting, then I wear slippers, and if I'm max effort squatting, I wear my squat shoes.

I wear shoxs, but im finding it more difficult to maintain balance when doing squats,

I used to go barefoot or wear flip flops in my old gym

ill probably buy some otomix, but I need to weigh over 300 first, that way no one will talk shit since there so ugly/goofy....

Etnies?? Idk skate shoes are flat and have hard bottoms, very easy to keep a good base for squating and deadlifting. I love them ^_^

My buddy always goes in wearing sandals. Some guys go barefoot. Me I have small feet (size 9.5) for someone almost 6 feet tall so I need a little support. Right now I'm wearing my Shox but they make me unstable doing squats so I'm gonna look for some good training shoes.

i would train with naked feet at this little poop-hole gym up in ny, but now at a bailys i dont think they will go for that. Do you think they will allow flip flops? and do they feel more natural then my stupid shox?

Maybe I looked at the wrong site but those Otomix shoes looked hideous... Like some 1980's LA Gear or some shit. :O :O

I just wear a pair of adidas running shoes but I think I'm going to shoot for a pair of cross trainers next with a bit more support. I think you guys lifting in flipflops are insane... I know shoes don't provide a whole lot of protection but I'd rather have a weight land on my covered foot than my bare foot!

yeah the otomix are ugly, but in my gym its the norm with all these meathheads i train with. we even got guys who wear the old parachute style pants...haha. they work too good to care about how they look tho.

Just my 2cents. I use Adidas Samba's. They are an indoor soccor shoe. They provide good comfort sides and are great for squating. My Gym has a shoe and no sandal policy.

Do the otomix boots have to be ordered or has anyone seen them in any stores? I hate getting the wrong size when ordering.
