    Angry Oil factory...

I wonder why the F is my skin so damn oily. My face and my back are the worst. Any cure for this nonsense?

I notice that my skin becomes overly oily when it's agitated. Lots of times due to overwashing or applying too much pressure to it while washing. Also, if you're using an exfoliant in your soaps, I would use them less often. I tend to use them too much which wreaks havoc on my skin at times.

Dry skin often causes your skin to produce more oil in an attempt to help it heal. However, I've tried applying a moisturizer after showering and I swear that my skin becomes even more oily because of it. So who knows.

Hopefully LatinoPR chimes in on this thread.

Try some benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid. Both are available over the counter.

Please do not take this the wrong way m8int but that is the wrong advise. The last thing he needs is more cleaning and washing. From a previous post/PM I recall he cleaned his face many times a day. That is really bad news for someone that is naturally really oily. Your skin has a natural balance of oil. When you uspet that balance in either direction the body will attempt to make up for it. If you make every effort to remove every ounce of oil from you skin your body will react by producing more oil until the skin surface is satisfied. I would never recommend washing with anything more then a gentle cleanser and never more then once in the morning and once before bed.

    That makes total sense.
I noticed it when I started using this different liquid soap that is dryig my skin off much more than one I used before. Hmm, I have to try something less powerfull I guess, something that gives a good cleanse and won't dry it out so much.
