    Active Recovery Week

Yeah, its posted in the wrong forum, but hell, this forum gets way more hits, and therefor I post it here, in hope someone could help me out.

Well i`ve just figured out that withing 4-5 weeks I will get a CNS burnout, and have to take a active recovery week (Training, but cutting back on weights, sets, and so on). - I am clean by the way.

Well I am here to get advise as to something i`m already doing, and I wonder if it seems on point.

    Example:

    - Monday is Chest, and biceps. I hit 11 sets og chest, and 6 sets on bi ususally.

On the Active recovery week i`ll hit 3-4 sets on chest, and 2 sets on biceps, sounds good?

And I will drop the weight quite a bit to.

Example: I`m doing 5 reps of 220 pounds on the bench, I will hit perhaps 12 reps on 150 pounds, you get the drift..

I prefer doing it this way, to not loose to much strength (I do not like going off for a whole week, seems a bit drastic for me).

Does this seem good, to allow my body to catch up, and ready to hit another intens training cycle?

If you know you are in the wrong forum, why post here?

Have a week of active recovery coming up myself. Been advised my coach 2 do 1 weight session with all major exercises like bench, squat, dead lift, shoulder press and weighted pull ups
    At 4reps x 4 sets 3mins rest between sets.
later in the week I will be doing a circuit on machines light weight perfect slow form, picking 3 different machines for 3 different body parts and doing 5 reps on each continus for 3 mins, then 2mins rest before picking another 3 machines repeating this until all body parts have been covered!

Other active recovery will include aquatic games, playing tennis and cycling
