    Old Pelvic Avulsion Injury

I'll make this short, the injury occured about 3 years ago while playing football. It was a non-contact pelvic avulsion / ischial tuberosity fracture via a pulled hamstring. We went the non-surgery route for about 8 months and then opted for surgery which was performed about 10 months after the injury. I had another surgery a few months later to remove the screw. It has been about 2 years since the surgeries, and although alot of my leg strength has returned it is still no where near as strong as my uninjured leg and it's followed by alot of pain whenever I run or lift.

At this point in the recovery process I feel that my body has "forgotten" about the injury and no more drastic improvements are going to be made. I'm wondering if you guys think an IGF-1 cycle would aid in finally getting rid of this injury..?

I've pretty much decided to do a cycle of long r3 igf-1, 40 mcg pwo near the injury ~ 3 times a week. If I go through with it I'll keep a log and possibly even post before and after x-rays. I would appreciate any advice.

K so I've been using the igf-1 for almost 2 weeks and my leg doesn't feel any better. I suspect that a possibility for this is that I have some sort of sciatic nerve damage. At this point though I am extremely pissed off and I don't really know what to do or who to see. I went to my surgeon the week before I started the cycle and he didn't even show me the x-rays, he just said it was fine, and I could tell he thought he had more important things to be doing.

I really never thought I would be complaining about this injury 3 years after it happened. SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!

I know I'm getting to be very annoying but idc... specifically to doc sust (although others feel free to answer), what would you do if you were in my situation?

    rundown-
september 13, 2004 - pelvic avulsion (aka ischial tuberosity fracture) from pulled hamstring while sprinting in a football game. (non contact injury)
    next month - crutches
next 8 months - conservative (non surgical) treatment, physical therapy, return to sports...
june 15, 2005 - surgery to reattach the bone fragment of the ischial tuberosity
    next 2 months - crutches
october, 2005 - return to sports (basketball)
november, 2005 - screw from surgery backs out while playing basketball, surgery to remove the screw.. doc said bone was already healed and that this was fine
until present - continued with sports, gradually regaining strength in my leg, still experiencing pain, healing seems to have plateaud, igf-1 and cissus cycle unsuccessful

goal - alleviate pain while running, sitting, stretching, and contracting the muscle. regain strength. basically make it feel like my other, healthy leg.

    the question... how?

.... I'll try to shutup until someone replies.
