    Liquidizing food

What's the opinion folks - is liquidising food bad for you?

I'm finding it much easier to get tuna down when I liquidize it.

Would this have any impact on how it used by your body, i.e. would bio-availability change?

Is it a burden to your body? (One thing I've noticed is I feel rough after my "tuna-shake", but after eating it the normal way = out of the tin like cat-food - I feel fine.)

You're using real food. So blending speeds absorbtion, and since the chemical structure of the food is left unchanged, its bioavailability is also left unchanged. It's just like chewing it really well.

That's what I said when asked one time as well but the person I was talking to it about argued that blending makes it easier for the body to absorb therefore it's faster digesting...we were discussing how I like to blend my oats into powder before adding them into my shakes... Both sides make sense to me lol.

I grind up 3 cups of oats a day and drink it down with water. Its currently100% of my daily carb intake, and I always feel strong.

I remember reading an interview with Mike Matzzaro once and he said when he was starting out if he couldn't finish a meal, he'd blend it with 2 cups of apple juice and neck it.
